Transformative Growth at Addis Software: An Intern’s Perspective

As an ongoing intern at Addis Software, I have been continually impressed by the welcoming and supportive environment they have fostered from day-one. Finding a nurturing company to help me become a skilled professional wasn’t easy, but luckily I discovered Addis Software – a company that has gone above and beyond to make me feel valued, empowered, and excited about the opportunity to develop my skills and advance my career. 

One of the best aspects of this internship has been the opportunity to work closely with mentors who were once interns themselves. They have been invaluable guides, patiently answering my countless questions and helping me work through any challenges I face. Through hands-on training projects that have allowed me to apply my existing knowledge and skills to emerging technologies, I’ve had the chance to rapidly expand my skill set. For example, I’ve worked on building responsive user interfaces for web applications and intuitive mobile app experiences using JavaScript, React, React Native, and GraphQL. My mentors consistently demonstrate tremendous dedication, investing significant time and energy to ensure I get the most out of these practical learning experiences. I’m continually inspired by their passion for supporting the growth of the next generation.

The Addis Software team has a great approach to skill-building – they have designed their internship program to help interns like myself develop rapidly. This diversity of work has allowed me to expand my expertise across a range of front-end development areas.

What I also love about the Addis Software culture is the emphasis they place on work-life balance and creating an environment that is enjoyable, not just functional. Amenities like the in-office tennis court provide opportunities for breaks, fun, and bonding with colleagues.
